Admissions Process at Living water youth ranch

Making the decision to seek outside assistance for your adolescent is significant. Our compassionate Admissions Coordinators are here to support you through this process with expertise and understanding. We believe in the power of healing and are committed to helping your family find the best path forward.

Age Requirements and Family Expectations

Living Water Youth Ranch provides therapeutic treatment services for adolescents ages 13 through 17. Exceptions to age may be considered based on maturity levels, cognitive abilities, and specific struggles. Family involvement is required, as many challenges stem from family dynamics.

Family Involvement

Your child's knowledge of your support is vital, as many struggles at this age stem from challenges within the family. Our curriculum emphasizes family systems, which fosters a better understanding of individual roles within the family unit.

As part of our program, parents are strongly encouraged to:

  • Participate in periodic family counseling sessions, preferably in person.

  • Attend at least one of the family conferences.

  • Engage in periodic reading assignments and discussions.

During the application process, you will receive additional information about family involvement. This ensures that our program aligns with your family's needs and goals.

Screening and Admissions Process

Our Admissions Coordinators provide comprehensive, personalized care as they guide you through our thorough screening and application process.

Preliminary Screening

You'll be asked to provide information about your son or daughter's history and struggles, along with general questions about your family situation. If the preliminary screening indicates a potential fit for our program, we will send you a link to our online application.

Application Completion

Clinical Assessment

Decision & Acceptance

This is conducted by a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatric NP, or Psychiatrist. They will delve deeper into your child's situation to ensure the best possible fit.

Our Admissions Coordinators are available to assist you at every step as you fill out the online application.

Following the clinical assessment, a mutual decision is made to determine if Living Water Youth Ranch is a suitable match. Upon acceptance into the program, your Admissions Coordinator will continue to assist until your child arrives at the Ranch and settles in, then a family liaison will be assigned.

Tuition and Length of Stay

Healing and transformation take time, and our tuition and length of stay vary based on factors like program progress, life experiences,  and family dynamics. Longer programs yield better outcomes, allowing ample time for healing and skill development. Our typical progrom is between 9 and 18 months.
